What are the payment options?

Generation Yarns accepts payment via PayPal, Debit or Credit card.

What is your return policy?

Cancellation Policy

We regret that it is not possible to amend, combine or add to an order once it has been printed. If you would like to cancel your order, please email generationyarns@yahoo.com immediately. We will cancel your order if we can, but we cannot guarantee that this will be possible.

Returns Policy

If you experience any problems with any of our goods, please contact us by emailing generationyarns@yahoo.com.

Should any goods you receive from us prove to be faulty, we will arrange for a replacement or refund - whichever you prefer. Before returning faulty goods to us, please contact us, and we will arrange to cover the cost of returning the faulty goods.

Should you decide to return any goods which are not faulty, please ensure you return them to us within 30 days. (Please see 'How to return items to us' below.) We will arrange for a full refund of the cost of the goods, providing the items are unused, unopened and in a saleable condition. We will not be able to cover the cost of returning the goods to us.

Please note that patterns, books, cut trims and cut fabrics are non-refundable.

 

How to return items to us

Please contact us by emailing generationyarns@yahoo.com and we will provide you with a postal address. When returning any items to us, please pack your items in appropriate packaging and please enclose a note to let us know your name, telephone number/email address and whether you would like a refund or an exchange for the items you are returning. If you would like an exchange, please let us know which items you would like to have in place of the items you are sending back.

If you have asked for a refund, we will process this as soon as possible, providing the items are unused, unopened and in a saleable condition.

If you have asked for an exchange, we will despatch the replacement items that you have requested as soon as possible (again, providing that the returned items are unused, unopened and in a saleable condition). If an additional payment needs to be taken (i.e. if these replacement items are higher in value than the items you have returned), we will contact you to arrange this.

How are my items sent?

All goods delivered to the UK are sent either by Royal Mail or Evri, Monday - Saturday (excluding Bank Holidays). Please note – Your yarn may come vacuum packed if you are ordering 1-3 balls. This does not damage the yarn, once it is released from the bag it will simply spring back to shape.
We charge flat rates dependent on the weight of the item.

 

Royal Mail 2nd Class Post & Evri Courier:
Up to 0.2kg - £2.00
0.2kg to 0.7kg - £3.50
0.7kg - 2kg - £5.50
2kg - 5kg - £7.50

5Kg and up - £9.50
Orders over £30.00 is free 2nd Class delivery.

 

Royal Mail 1st Class Post:
Up to 0.2kg - £4.00
0.2kg to 0.7kg - £5.50
0.7kg - 2kg - £7.50
2kg - 5kg - £9.50

5Kg and up - £11.50


Most orders are dispatched the same day, though during extremely busy periods, it may take an extra day or so to dispatch your order. Royal Mail 2nd Class and Evri Courier usually takes 3-5 days, although this is not guaranteed. Please allow 10 working days for delivery (this is a time limit imposed by Royal Mail/Evri, not ourselves). Please note that these orders can be sent to all postcodes in the UK (which includes Northern Ireland). This is an un-tracked service, and we cannot provide tracking numbers for orders sent by this service. For large, heavy or high value orders we reserve the right to upgrade delivery  to an insured next-working-day courier service at no extra cost. If you require your items urgently, please consider our next-working-day courier option detailed.
At present we only post to UK mainland only. Please note that courier orders can only be sent to mainland UK addresses (i.e., not Channel Islands, Isle of Man, etc.). Delivery by courier to Scottish Highlands & Islands, and the following postcodes: AB30-38, AB41-56, FK17-99, G83, HS1-9, IV1-63, KA27-28, KW1-17, PA20-78, PH15-99, TR21-25, ZE1-3, may take 2-5 working days. Delivery to Northern Ireland addresses may also take 2-5 working days. Please note that couriers will not deliver to P.O. box addresses.

 

If you live outside the scope of the above, however, would like to order, please send us an email and we will do our best to deliver to your area/country.

Will you be stocking more items?

Yes, we are an up-and-coming business and will be adding to our collection various yarns, wool, craft supplies and haberdashery items. If there is something you are looking for, please don't hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to stock the item as soon as possible.
